“Study the past if you would define the future.” -Confucius

Modern City Buildings And Abstract Business GraphI am pleased to announce Part I of Continuum Advisory Group’s two-part series: The Past, Present and Future of Capital Construction. In this article we explore the economic cycles and key trends in capital asset construction of the past decade. Our report is based upon conversations with over 30 of the largest corporations and government agencies in the world, and is intended to give executives involved in capital construction a historical context for the key challenges, and opportunities, for which they are preparing their organizations going forward.

Aptly put by Judith Kunoff, Chief Architect, New York Transit, “The key challenge is to recognize that there is always room for improvement, that we can get better and that change is a good thing.” Astute leaders and managers can learn from how their peers managed both the highs and the lows, and these reflections provide valuable insights into future improvement strategies.

You can read the full article here. And look out for Part II later this spring, where we take a deeper dive into preparing for the next decade.
